Summary

SPINE members are composed of users and developers scattered throughout Europe who need tools to work together and share data. The SPINE online server, virtual common laboratory, was the answer to this expectation, with functionalities such as control versioning system, data exchange areas, awareness tools. The SPINE server is based on the LibreSource collaborative platform. Its design and technological specificities make LibreSource highly extensible and customisable. Its powerful control version system (So6) allows complex software production chains, completed by data sharing and online archiving.
