I think there is a discussion in the bugtracker #85, but I am not exactly sure if I understand the consequences.

What do I need to do if I want to allow my students to upload the solution of their assignments in an "Download Area" resource, but to not allow them to download the solution of their fellow students?

In LS 1.5, I created a group with all the students of the course, giving this group the upload right on the "Download Area" resource, but not the download right.
