Il tourne automatiquement, il est lancé par postmaster au demarrage. Je crois que mon problème vient du PGDATA et du répertoire ou sont stockés les bases. merci

Do you run postgres in service or do you start it manually ?

Which system user did you use to create the libresource database ?

If you run it manually you should start it with this command line:

postmaster -D FULL_PATH_OF_DATABASE -i

And you should use the same user login with no password to access to the database...

The "-i" option is needed to allow the LibreSource serveur to connect to the database in TCP.

For the configuration of postgres you can keep the default one for simple demonstration.

Hi, I try to install libresource for research european network as demo for the first step. os:linux SUSE 10.0 postgresql install, server is running. I create to user for database acces name kevin and libresource. I also create the db libresource. I restart the server. my postgres.conf:
listen_addresses = '*'
  1. what IP interface(s) to listen on;
  2. defaults to localhost, '*' = any
port = 5432 max_connections = 100
  1. note: increasing max_connections costs about 500 bytes of shared
  2. memory per connection slot, in addition to costs from shared_buffers
  3. and max_locks_per_transaction.
#superuser_reserved_connections = 2 #unix_socket_directory = '' #unix_socket_group = '' #unix_socket_permissions = 0777 # octal #rendezvous_name = '' # defaults to the computer name

local all all trust
  1. IPv4 local connections:
host all all @authmethod@
  1. IPv6 local connections:
host all all ::1/128 @authmethod@

and when I run the install *.jar,

I got the message:

unable to connect to the server
ERROR>> Aconnection error has occured: org.postgresql.util.PSQLexception:FATAL:authentification ident échouée pour l'utilisateur "kevin"

I tried with postgres user, without success.

Do you know my mistake???
