Did you write "only browsing files" ? Can it be you mean that browsing to, e.g., the base-path, is the issue. I could understand such… at least, I feel that using the Swing File-dialog is not a good idea at all on my platform (MacOSX)… it is about 30 times slower and less OS-integrated than the native one (and offers nothing more).

Random guess of a help.

I am using sychronizer. When I try to update a new workspace, Open file dialog from the web start takes more than 5 minutes only browsing files. Is there any way to fix this?
